4K gaming isn’t a myth anymore, especially with the GeForce RTX 3080. It’s way more faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 2080, which is impressive on its own. The newly released GeForce RTX 3080 has now 12GB of GDDR6X memory. It has 2GB more VRAM than the original 10GB version.
Along with the Ti version and the big brother RTX 3090, this thing brings 4K 60+ fps to the market in a big way. And did I mention it? It’s a beast. Though if you want to game at 1440p or even 1080p with the RTX 3080, that’s totally fine. You’ll be getting some of the best graphics results that money can buy right now, making it an excellent choice for gamers who want the best possible experience. And even though it’s a powerful card, it still runs relatively cool and quiet – you won’t have to worry about annoying fan noise or overheating. Plus, there are some major architectural updates that will be beneficial for future games.
Ray tracing and DLSS are two of the main selling points of the GeForce RTX 3080. Nvidia has heavily promoted these two technologies, and for good reason. They both offer a significant improvement in image quality over traditional rendering techniques. Ray tracing is a rendering technique that traces the path of light as it travels through a scene. This results in more realistic lighting and reflections. DLSS is a technique that uses artificial intelligence to improve image quality. It can be used to sharpen or clean up images at lower resolutions. In simple terms, with DLSS, a game may render at a lower resolution and utilize Nvidia’s image reconstruction technology to upscale the image, making it appear as good as native 4K resolution or better.
The GeForce RTX 3080 is an absolute powerhouse of a graphics card, bringing about one of the largest generational leaps in GPU history.
And for this PC build, the GeForce RTX 3080 would be the main workhorse of this beast of a machine. Below, I will go through the other components and peripherals that go on this build. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

Starting with the processor, we decided to pair the RTX 3080 with the Ryzen 7 5800X. This CPU is currently AMD’s fastest octa-core CPU, and it’s very suitable for high-end gaming builds like this one. The Ryzen 7 5800X also delivers 100+ FPS performance in triple-A games. So, you can be sure that this processor will provide more than enough power for the RTX 3080. Unfortunately, there is no bundled cooler, so, we’ve picked a high-performance cooler for this CPU, which I will talk about it later on.
The Ryzen 7 5800X features 8 cores and 16 threads and has a very high base clock of 3.8GHz, and it can boost up to 4.7GHz. This makes it perfect for gaming and other CPU-intensive tasks. Technically, each CCX now has 8 cores, that’s up from 4 cores per CCX in the previous generation, which greatly lowers the latency between cores and gives each core direct access to the L3 cache, boosting gaming performance. The Ryzen 7 5800X also comes with a total of 4MB of L2 cache and 32MB of L3 cache, which will help keep your system running smoothly. Finally, the Ryzen 7 5800X has a default TDP of 105W, so it is relatively easy to cool and power efficient.
All in all, it’s an excellent processor for this high-end gaming PC, delivering great performance in both gaming and productivity.
Our Ryzen 7 5800X deserves a good motherboard with excellent power delivery. On top of that, we want a clean-looking one with plenty of connectivity to offer.

For the RAM, I went with 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z Neo. This memory features a fast clock speed with low latency, which is extremely good for the time being. The kits are also well-built and hand-screened with high-quality memory ICs that are specifically selected to maintain the best signal integrity. They are rated at 3600MHz out of the box at a CL16 latency timing for maximum performance.
The 10-layer PCB on these kits is also custom-designed with a contrast of black brushed aluminum and powder-coated silver. This not only looks great, but it also helps with heat dissipation. You can control and customize the 8-zone RGB lighting through downloadable software from G.Skill.
The overall branding of this memory is simple but badass. The G.Skill logo stands out on the black brushed aluminum, while the Trident Z Neo text on the other side of the spreaders stands out on the powder-coated silver.

The Ryzen 7 5800X does not include a stock cooler so we will need to get one to complete this build. The NZXT Kraken Z53 RGB is a smooth choice for this build with its chamfered intake and fluid dynamic bearings. They deliver silent operation, high-end cooling performance, long-term reliability, and beautiful lighting effects that complement your system.
The Aer RGB 2 fans included with the Kraken Z53 RGB provides vivid lighting effects and silent operation. These fans can output 17.48 – 52.44 CFM of airflow and 22 – 33 dBA of noise at 500 – 1,500 RPM. With fluid dynamic bearings, the Aer RGB 2 fans ensure silent operation and long-term reliability while providing beautiful lighting effects.

For the main boot storage, we have 1TB of SAMSUNG 980 SSD. Taking advantage of NVMe bandwidth, the 980 achieves sequential read speeds up to 3,500 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 3,000 MB/s. The result is faster system bootup times and significantly faster loading of applications and files compared to SATA SSD and traditional hard drives.
It offers improved endurance due to its advanced technology, which allows it to achieve up to 600 TBW.
This SSD employs a nickel coating to regulate the controller’s heat level and a heat spreader label to deliver efficient NAND chip thermal control. This helps to ensure stable performance and minimizes performance fluctuations during extended usage.
There is also Samsung Magician software that is designed to help you get the most out of your Samsung SSD. It includes a range of powerful tools that allow you to monitor, optimize, and protect your drive.

With how powerful this PC will be, we assume that you won’t only use it for gaming, but also for professional work. In that case, additional storage for larger files and application is a good investment.
The Crucial BX500 is a great SSD for larger files, it comes with different storage capacities from 240GB to 2TB. So, you can choose which one is right for your needs. The combination of minimalist design and sturdy build quality make the H710i an excellent case for this PC build. The case can accommodate up to 7 120mm fans with clean cable management and the tempered glass side panel is ideal for showing off your beautiful installed components.
The integrated RGB strips and fan/RGB controller are a nice touch, and the right-side panel opens at the press of a button which makes accessing your components much easier. In terms of cable management, the H710i is fantastic, with a variety of pre-installed channels and straps to make wiring simple. All in all, the H710i is a well-rounded case for this high-end gaming PC build.
Changing the fans that are pre-installed in the NZXT H710i case is completely optional. However, if you want to want to change them into RGB ones, we suggest getting these NZXT AER RGB 2 system fans, these are the exact same fans that the Kraken Z53 used. So, they surely blend and looks great inside the case.
The Aer RGB 2 fans come with a number of features that make them great system fans for high-end builds like this one. They are designed with a chamfered intake and exhaust, which is supposed to improve airflow and pressure throughout the fan. Additionally, the fans feature custom-engineered light guides which help to create stunning visual effects while evenly dispersing the light. Another great feature of these fans is the use of winglet tips on the fan blades. This helps to reduce drag and improve fan performance even more. Finally, the fans are composed of fluid dynamic bearings (FDB), which are made of copper. The FDBs are meant to provide constant lubrication, which minimizes bearing noise.

For me, this PC build is the sweet spot for both high-end gaming and work purposes. It has enough power to handle any game or task you throw at it while still maintaining a high level of visuals.
Not to mention that this PC build looks good too, as PC building hobby has become more and more popular, the Aesthetics of the build has also become an important factor to consider.
