The SupremeFX S1220 and ESS ES9023P audio codecs provide enthusiast-grade audio performance, driven by Japanese capacitors.
The ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Formula also offers a wealth of personalization options. The onboard Aura Sync RGB lighting can be controlled and synchronized across all your Aura-enabled products, while the addressable Gen 2 RGB headers allow you to control your LED strip lighting directly. Finally, the BIOS FlashBack and Q-Code LEDs make troubleshooting easy, while the pre-mounted I/O shield ensures a hassle-free installation.
This is just a perfect motherboard for this Ryzen 9 5950X build, offering a wealth of features and extremely good power delivery.
We’ve chosen the G.Skill Trident Z Neo for this build, and this particular model comes with 32GB (2x16GB). 32GB should be enough for most users, though you can add additional memory if this isn’t giving you satisfaction with the type of activity you are doing.
It runs at 3600MHz and comes with a CL16 latency providing a smooth and snappy experience. CL16 latency is the general standard for high performance, and this model works well with Ryzen 9 5950X out of the box. The G.Skill Trident Z Neo is also crafted with hand-screened memory ICs. This helps to ensure that you’re getting the best quality possible and that your RAM will be able to last for a significant amount of time. Furthermore, it features custom 10-layer PCBs, which increases the overall durability and longevity of the RAM.
Last but not least, it comes with fully controllable and customizable 8-zone RGB lighting. You can control the lighting using the Trident Z Lighting Control software. This makes the RAM look excellent and really stands out for this build.
The Ryzen 9 5950X doesn’t come with a bundled cooler, though even if it does, most of the time, the stock cooler might not give you enough cooling performance, especially when doing intensive tasks. For that reason, it’s needed to get the best cooling solution and the Kraken Z73 RGB is just that. It’s a high-performance AIO liquid cooler that features a 360mm radiator providing ultimate cooling performance.
The chamfered intake on the Kraken Z73 RGB 360mm CPU Cooler is a great addition as it helps to increase the airflow and reduce noise levels. The Aer RGB 2 120mm fans are also a great addition to this build. They provide superior cooling performance and come with noise levels of 22-33 dBA. The fans also have a bearing of fluid dynamic bearings for silent operation and long-term reliability.
The Kraken Z73 RGB 360mm CPU Cooler also comes with a built-in 2.36” LCD screen which you can use to completely customize the look of your cooler. The screen is capable of displaying 24-bit color depth. You can use the screen to display the system’s performance or put a GIF on it to make your entire PC look cool.
All of these make the Kraken Z73 RGB a great cooler for this Ryzen 9 5950X PC build.
For the main drive, I chose the SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB. This drive has a sequential read and writes speed of up to 3,500MB/s and 3,300MB/s respectively. It also has an impressive random read performance of up to 600,000 IOPS (Input Output Operations Per Second).
The V-NAND is the heart of the drive and helps to achieve the performance levels that it does. It also offers power efficiency, low latency, and enhanced bandwidth. This makes it an ideal choice for tech enthusiasts, high-end gamers, and content designers.
The Samsung Magician software is a great tool for performance optimization and data security. It helps to keep your SSD running at peak performance and offers features such as seamless cloning and file transfers. It also provides automatic firmware updates to help keep your data safe. The Dynamic Thermal Guard helps to maintain optimal operating temperatures, which helps to minimize any performance drops. The heat dissipates quickly and efficiently with the use of nickel-coated copper wires and thermal pads. This ensures that your SSD remains cool even during heavy workloads. Overall, it is a great choice for the main drive in this PC build.
For sure, you’ll need additional storage as we assume that you won’t use this build for casual gaming only but also for content creation and other professional work. Also, it depends on you (user) on how many additional storages drives you’ll need.
For this build, we use this Crucial MX500 as additional storage, this particular SSD drive comes with a 2TB HDD capable of storing large amounts of data.
The Crucial MX500 is a high-quality SSD that is accelerated by Micron 3D NAND technology. Sequential reads/writes of up to 560/510 MB per second are supported for all file types, as well as random reads/writes of up to 95,000/90,000. And, if the power unexpectedly gets cut, your work will be preserved with the integrated Power Loss Immunity feature. Plus, it offers 256bit hardware-based encryption, which keeps your information safe and secure from prying eyes or malicious hackers. It is a great investment for those who want to be able to store large amounts of data without worrying about it getting hacked. So, overall, this is a good-quality SSD that works just fine with this build.
To power this build, we will be using the Corsair HX1000. This is a 1000-watt power supply, which provides more than enough power for the rest of the system.
This power supply is also certified with an 80+ Platinum rating, which means that it is extremely efficient and will waste very little power. This is important, as it can save you money in the long run.
The fan on this power supply is also very impressive. It is a 135mm FDB fan, which stands for fluid dynamic bearing. This means that the fan will last a long time and is very quiet. Even under load, it will remain quiet and keep your system running cool. It also features Zero RPM mode, which means that the fan will not start up until the power supply reaches a certain temperature. This even keeps the noise level down and prevents the fan from running all the time.
Finally, it is fully modular, which means that only the cables you need are going to be included in this build. This helps reduce some clutter and wires behind your computer case. All in all, this is a very solid choice for powering this build and will keep your system running cool and efficiently.
The combination of good airflow, plenty of space, and sleek black design make this Phanteks Eclipse P500A a great chassis for this PC build.
The ultra-fine performance mesh front panel does a great job of allowing optimal cooling for your components. The all-glass front panel is a great feature to show off your creation. The chassis also has vertical GPU mounting support, as well as support for 360mm AIO coolers on top. Meaning that the Kraken Z73 AIO Liquid cooler we choose for this build will work just with this case.
One of the other great features of this case is the extensive storage options, with support for up to 10x HDDs and 3x SSDs. This will give you plenty of space for your storage drives so you are able to store all of your games and other files.
This case also includes 3x 140mm D-RGB case fans. This gives the PC build a nice finishing touch. The sleek black design looks well for the RGB lighting that will show through the tempered glass panel and can work well for future color customizations. However, I recommend getting an additional SK140 D-RGB fan for a back exhaust, as this case only comes with 3 Fans that are meant to be placed at the front panel. Overall, this is a great case that is definitely worth getting for this high-end PC build.
